0 Old camera connection accessorry compatibled with iPad?

I have a camera connection accessory which works fine with my iPod classic. Is this old camera connection accessorry also supposed to be compatibled with my iPad? No, that one can't even work with later iPod. You'd better buy a new connection kit for iPad, which works flawlessly.
